Best Time for a Pre-Wedding Photoshoot
6-1 month before the wedding to allow time for any necessary changes to your beauty look. Any further out for the trial can actually seem like it would be beneficial but trends and personal preference's may change if TOO MUCH time is in between your trial and wedding day. However, you don't want to leave it too late if you want to use the photos for pre-wedding RSVP's, a wedding website or engagement announcement. So communication is key to finding the perfect timeline for each couple.
Coordinate with your makeup artist, hairstylist, and photographer to ensure seamless scheduling. BONUS if you've booked me as your Triple Threat Vendor as I do all three so scheduling is an easy task!
Choose a location that complements your wedding aesthetic for cohesive visuals. Like H & D they requested a sunflower field as their photoshoot backdrop and we were lucky enough to have one close by!
Also consider time of day for lighting and time of year for if you're choosing an outdoor shoot rather than in studio as winter vs spring shoots can look drastically different outside due to change of seasons! With winter season shoots we also lose daylight sooner so you may have less time in the day to coordinate. A studio shoot is an amazing option as you can have flexibility with timing and have timeless looking photos with different backdrops, props and wardrobe!
